Experience the best of the mountains from right outside your cabin door. Whether you’re here for adventure, art, or a little peace and quiet, there’s no shortage of things to see, taste, and explore. Here are some of our favorite ways to enjoy life on and around the mountain.

🌅 Right from Your Cabin

• Catch the Sunset – Every evening is a new painting — bring your coffee, cocoa, a glass of wine or camera.
• Guided Snowshoe Adventures (Winter, weather permitting) – Led by Wayne and joined by Ralph the Mountain Dog — a 3-hour journey ending at a private firepit with homemade pastries and pour-over coffee.
• Private Firepit Evenings – Enjoy quiet mountain nights making s'mores or grill steaks under a blanket of stars.
• Hike to Spruce Hill (5 mi roundtrip) – A local favorite and one of the most peaceful spots on the mountain. Trail head @ Hoosac Range just a mile away next to the Wigwam.

– Mount Greylock – The highest peak in Massachusetts.
– Greylock Glen (1.7mi Loop) – Scenic walking trails and mountain views.
– Hoosac Range Trail – (1.5 mi Loop to Sunset Rock, 5 mi RT to Spruce Hill). Dramatic ridgeline, rock ledge with stunning overlooks.
Savoy Mountain State Forest – Lakes, picnic spots, and miles of wooded trails — perfect in every season.
Natural Bridge State Park (North Adams) – The only natural white marble arch in North America.
Tannery Falls (Savoy) – A hidden waterfall worth the hike.
Ashuwillticook Rail Trail (Adams) – 12 miles of paved trail (to Pittsfield) for biking, running, or a peaceful stroll.
Adventure Capital of Charlemont – Just 15 minutes away, Charlemont offers endless adventure for every season:

Stump Sprout Cross Country Ski Center (Hawley) – A hidden gem with beautifully groomed trails, peaceful woods, and sweeping mountain views — perfect for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing.

🏡 Explore Local Towns

• North Adams – An artsy, vibrant town — home of MASS MoCA, the Fall Foliage Parade, and winter celebrations like WinterFest, RambleFest, and ThunderFest. Must check out the Berkshire Emporium, Grazies, the Golden Bamboo and the Public Eatery
• Adams – Small-town charm and history — home to the Berkshire Scenic Railway, Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum, the Ashuwillticook Trail Trail, the Greylock Glen Outdoor Center and 57 Park Street Boba & Souvenir Shop
• Shelburne Falls – Visit the Bridge of Flowers, explore the famous Glacial Potholes, and stroll the quaint main street Must stop by Mo's Fudge Factory and Buckland Pizza (our favorite pizza house)
• Williamstown – Home to Williams College,  art museums, boutique shopping, recycled bookstore and dining surrounded by mountain views.  Best Indian (Spice Root), Thai cuisine (Blue Mango) and Mexican (Coyote Flaco)
